Gardening Club

Come and join us for some gardening fun.

We guarantee that you will get mucky, make friends and learn a lot about gardening. We begin in September each year, meet until October half term, then resume in the Summer term after the Easter Holiday. The club is open to children in KS2. We meet on Monday afternoons from 3.35 – 4.30 pm.

Be prepared to get actively involved in preparing beds, planting seeds, tending, watering and weeding in the allotment. We plant hanging baskets for the school and grow an assortment of vegetables for Summer and Autumn harvests. Last year we created a ‘Sunshine Garden’; our next project is to cultivate a ‘Bee –utiful Garden’ to encourage pollinators.

Bianca says: “My Grandma has a big garden in Poland. I like telling her about everything we grow here at school because she grows the same in her garden. When I visit her, I can help her with all the jobs.”

“Look at all the potatoes! There are over 100!” exclaimed Bea when we collected the harvest last year.
